A Coordinate, Not a Verdict
Sagittarius: thirty degrees of the ecliptic, November twenty-second to December twenty-first.
The ledger opens. Sagittarius is a thirty-degree band of the ecliptic, the Sun's yearly path across the sky. The Sun crosses it from about November twenty-second to December twenty-first. "Your sign" means the Sun stood in that band when you were born. That is a coordinate. It is not a verdict, and never a promise.
Tropical, Not Stellar

The band is tropical: measured from the March equinox, not from the star pattern behind it. Precession has slid the constellations about twenty-four degrees since the system was fixed, so the sign and the stars no longer overlap. Both are real. They measure different things, and honest reading keeps them apart.
